A Beautiful Free Campaign Map AND a Free Custom Map Giveaway!

I love this map.  It is without a doubt on of my favorites of the series.  I hope you love it too, because now it's yours to use in your games.  Like all of our Free Map Monday Maps, this map is 100% free for your personal use. It is devoid of city/town markers, mountains, forests, or anything else which leaves you free to add anything you want to the map with ease. Please feel free to leave thoughts on this map or the series of free maps in general in the comments section or email us by clicking on the "Email Us" scroll in the far right hand column.

But that's not all this week!  I've mentioned that once things calmed down we would have another Free Custom Map Giveaway, well that time is finally here.

Have you ever wanted to have a great digital version of your campaign map but lacked the skill and know-how to translate your vision into reality?  Well we at the Labyrinth are here to help one lucky person make their dream come true!  That's right we are going to give away a free custom made map to one of our lucky readers.  Our rules are slightly different than last year's contest, so please read carefully.

Entry:
Entry to this contest is simple.  There are only thee requirements:
  1. You comment on this post stating that you want to enter the contest and describing the subject of the map that you want (world, kingdom, dungeon, town, or etc) in 100 words or less.
  2. You must be a follower of this blog when you Enter via Comment
  3. We must have a way to contact you (Since you are a follower this is pretty simple, just don't disable every means of contacting you!)
It really is that simple!  Entry will be open for one week at which time we will select the best entry and furnish one lucky person with a great custom map.

So now you are probably asking yourself, "What if I win?  How is this going to work?"  Well if you are our winner we will contact you through your Google profile.  You then have five days to respond and accept your prize.  That's when the fun begins!  Communication will take place back and forth so that we get an idea of  what the map should look like, what colors to use, name locations, etc.  We will furnish the winner with working versions leading up to the final version to make sure we are on the right track and the winner is happy with the progress.
The map will be the property of the winner with the artist(s) retaining the right to display them in their portfolio only.  Finally, we will show the finished version (with watermark) on this site so everyone can see how it came out.

Email or comment with questions.  Best of luck to everyone!

I have taken a few moments to look back on your free map entries, and I must say you have done some very fine work, my friend. And given it away to the community for free no less! Well done! I only wish I had stumbled upon your blog sooner...

Anyway, to my delight you have a contest for a free custom map, which I think is a deviously cool promotion to attract new followers. Please add me to the list of folks entering this contest.

My map: I would want a wilderness area mapped, which would correspond to my latest campaign. The bulk of the map would comprise of a great swamp region, with a few settlements scattered about, and the surrounding mountain ranges. The specifics we can discuss later if I am "the chosen one."

G+ Profile: https://plus.google.com/116541111642124593804/

Anyway, I believe that is all that is required for the contest. I will be watching this space for more free-map-action. Keep up the good work!

Lovely maps!

I would like to see a map of an alien world that we could use as a campaign map for a series of adventures and possibly wargames.

It would be somewhere between 50's style retro sci-fi and hard sci-fi!

I’ve been lurking around your site for several months now, downloaded a few maps yet to be used and generally enjoying your content. I’m very excited about the content and the chance I could finally see my campaign world with the quality map it deserves (as opposed to my feeble attempts at mapping!)

Map: My map is of the world Eagonia, a land of Volcanic islands, a god-struck wasteland, vast giant-filled mountain ranges, deserts, swamps and huge forests. Twelve nations thrive including a large evil empire, a nation of city-states and several small embattled kingdoms. Explorers discover ancient ruins, mystic sites and underground cities but more interesting are the thriving cities half above and half below water, the holy city of Th’ir and the wastelands of a nation destroyed by gods. This map, from the quill of a daring voyager, seeks the limits of the continent and halts where “Here be dragons!”

Should I be so fortunate, I believe you can contact me through my google profile.

Just found the blog - nifty!

I'd want a map of my Under the Dying Sun game, which is a sort of post-apocalypse, alien Science Fantasy, Dark Sun, kinda thing I've been working on on the blog for...well, too long. Psychic sorcery, Scorpion Men, a dying world, and all that.

Great idea for a competition :)

I would love to see a map for a campaign I'm planning. It would be of a huge city, 17th century era, but with a taste of the industrial age, where wizard-scientists compete for power against the church of the consumers of the divine flesh; borders on a river, and dense, twisted wilderness on the other sides. A centre for trade, industry and science, albeit in a fantasy setting.

I would love a map of:

Taren Kost- The City of Sorrows, built on the edge of one of the islands, nearly half the city was sheared away during the sundering. The city was a vast circle, now a section of it has been ‘eclipsed’ by the section sundered away. A wall was built along that edge has the name of everyone lost at that moment carved into it is in now almost faded script. The river that runs through the city pours over the edge and into space. It is a beautiful sight from the Bridge of Sorrows which spans the river at the point.

And thanks for all of the wonderful maps you have shown us so far.

I just found this blog, and I'm so happy I did... free maps and Game of Thrones updates? Yes please. Anyway here's my request for your sweet custom map giveaway:

ROSSENIA, THE WESTERN CONTINENT
Rossenia is a continent of great geographic and racial diversity. At its center sits the huge Ruby Sea, an inland ocean that once enabled productive trade between nearly every nation on Rossenia. As the Exonian navy, a once-powerful force that policed the sea, has fallen, the Ruby Sea has become overrun with pirates. Spreading out from the Ruby Sea are nations ranging from the brutal cold of Vanadir to the mysterious tower-dotted desert of Ab-Kron-On and the disease-ridden jungles of Morgai.

I would like to win a free map :)

my map would be a region of a world to be used as a sandbox campaign - a partial continent for my Aeternal Realm of Sylvaeon. Sylvaeon is a an unconscious dream manifestation of Fairie and the beings that have been drawn into it.
